Successful Test Period

Successful 2024 Test Period at Ameland

We proudly look back on the results achieved—our team successfully carried out the installation, commissioning, operational activities, and decommissioning of the TidalKite system. During this period, we also conducted ecological research and verified and developed critical procedures to ensure safe operations.

In May 2024, we arrived with our TidalKite at the test site in the Borndiep, near Ameland, one of the Dutch Wadden Islands, to begin the testing phase. The grid connection had already been established, and we were excited to officially "get the metal wet" in the sea. The team remained at the site for a few months to carry out the tests.

After decommissioning at the end of September 2024, we transported the TidalKite system and the associated barges from the test setup back to our workshop in Drachten. This winter, our focus shifted to updating and maintaining all systems. We are excited to return to our test location in 2025 to resume testing, and to continue advancing the TidalKite system.
